Exploring a Shared Vision
Building a reliable cold chain requires more than storage facilities. It also requires the right vehicles, technology and people to move fresh produce safely from farms to markets.
This is one of the reasons our engagement with CLW Automotive in China is an important step in CryoChain's journey. Our discussions explored potential areas of collaboration, particularly refrigerated trucks, vehicle technology and solutions that could support the development of cold chain infrastructure in Ghana and across West Africa.
For us, this is about exploring how the right partnerships can help address the challenges facing farmers, food businesses and the wider agricultural sector.
Why Refrigerated Transportation Matters
Across Ghana, farmers work hard to produce food, but getting their harvest to buyers in good condition remains a challenge. Fresh produce, fish, meat and other perishable goods can lose quality quickly when they are exposed to unsuitable temperatures during transportation.
Without reliable refrigerated transport, farmers may have limited time to sell their produce. Businesses that depend on fresh food can also struggle to maintain quality and ensure consistent supplies.
At CryoChain, we want to help change this by building a connected system of cold storage facilities, strategically located hubs and refrigerated trucks.
Our goal is to bring transportation and storage closer to farming communities, helping fresh goods reach supermarkets, restaurants, schools, food processors and other buyers in better condition.

What a Potential Partnership with CLW Could Mean
CLW has experience in manufacturing commercial and specialised vehicles, including refrigerated trucks. Its product range also includes vehicle chassis and other transportation solutions that could be relevant to our plans. CLW's official company information provides further details about its manufacturing capabilities.
Our discussions have focused on exploring how CLW's vehicle manufacturing capabilities could support CryoChain's cold chain network. This includes the potential supply of refrigerated trucks and suitable vehicle platforms for transporting perishable goods.
We are also interested in exploring electric and hybrid vehicle options as part of our long-term transportation strategy.
While these discussions represent an opportunity rather than a completed partnership, we believe collaboration with experienced manufacturers could help us develop transportation solutions suited to the needs of Ghana and the wider West African market.
Looking Towards Cleaner Transportation
The future of cold chain logistics will depend not only on keeping food fresh but also on how efficiently we power and operate the systems that move it.
Electric and hybrid refrigerated trucks are an area of interest for CryoChain as we explore ways to improve transportation efficiency and reduce dependence on conventional fuels.
Combined with renewable energy and energy storage at our cold chain hubs, these technologies could support a more integrated approach to food transportation and storage.
Our ambition is to explore solutions that are practical, reliable and suitable for the operating conditions in Ghana. This means considering vehicle performance, charging infrastructure, maintenance and long-term operating costs as we assess potential options.
Building Local Skills and Employment
For us, the opportunity extends beyond bringing vehicles into Ghana. We also want to help build the skills needed to support the industry locally.
As our plans develop, potential collaboration around technical training and knowledge sharing could help prepare Ghanaians for opportunities in refrigerated transportation, vehicle maintenance and cold chain operations.
We believe that developing local expertise is important for the long-term success of this industry. It can create pathways for employment while helping build the technical capacity needed to maintain and operate modern cold chain systems.

Moving Forward Together
Our engagement with CLW reflects our commitment to exploring partnerships that can help turn our vision into practical solutions.
CryoChain is working towards a future where farmers have better access to storage and transportation, businesses can receive fresh goods more reliably, and less food is lost between harvest and market.
We know that building this system will require collaboration, investment and continuous learning. By exploring relationships with manufacturers and technology providers, we are taking steps towards making that future possible.
Our goal is simple: to connect farms to markets through reliable cold chain infrastructure, while creating opportunities for local businesses, workers and communities along the way.
